Search results miss a PM icon in “quick seach”:
In full search, the icon is shown:
This topic reports a bug where PM icons are missing in quick search results when using the in:all search filter, but are present in full search results thoka. The Discourse team acknowledged the issue nat and confirmed a fix is being implemented lindsey. The fix will display the message icon in in:all quick searches but won’-t display it when using the in:messages filter, to avoid redundancy. thoka expressed a preference for consistent display of filters, but acknowledged it as a minor point. A change has been merged to address this issue in the latest version of Discourse kelv, with a link to the [GitHub pull request](https://github.com/discour se/discourse/pull/33611).

Thanks, our team will be looking into this.
Thanks again for the report, @thoka, and your patience while we were looking into this.
We’ll be fixing this up so that the quick search will show the messages icon in in:all searches, but not when the in:messages filter is added — in that case, it would be redundant to show the messages icon.
Hm. I would prefer that filtered lists look exactly the same as not filtered lists, but that’s a minor problem.
For example: if you filter for an author of messages, you would not omit to show the author in the list, despite of being redundant.
@thoka Thanks for the report, I’ve merged a change in the latest version of Discourse that addresses this.
