# Moderation per topic

Is there a way to let topic creators have moderation powers in their own topic? If so, can this be enabled/disabled per category?

Hi,

You can set category moderators in Discourse but topic owners can’t moderate a topic unless they’re TL4 (which essentially allows them to moderate any topic)

Category moderators could be set on a per-category basis.

That sounds not exactly like the thing I want.

I have a category and everyone who posts in this category should be able to moderate his own topics but not have moderator powers in other topics

Discourse doesn’t support per-topic permissions, I’m afraid this isn’t possible.

I don’t think this can even be done via a plugin, if this behavior is critical to your community it might be worth investigating alternatives to Discourse.
