# Moderation rights based on authentication method

Is there a way for moderators to use a certain authentication method, and when using a different authentication method, they do not have their moderation rights (they become just regular users), while still mapping to the same account on Helionauts? (we’ll see it’s the same person, same username).

There is not, no. Can you explain why you’d need this? I’m wondering if there are work-arounds.

Only way for that to happen is for moderators to have one account for each authentication method.
