# Moderator/admin unable to merge second post with OP

Hi
Why is it not possible to merge the second post with the topic post if the user who created the topic post and the second post is the same user?

So I think moderators won’t be able to merge this post with the topic. Sometimes the second post should’ve just been in the topic using edit rather than creating a second post…
I hope you know what I mean 🙂

You can certainly merge this one which is a reply to the post i.e. post to post, but not second post to first topic post. 🤔
