# Modifying canned email messages

Is there some way to change the “Thanks for letting us know. We’re looking into it.” message that’s automatically sent when a user flags something?
Or some way to change the sender so it’s clear that it’s a system message rather than from the admin (me)?

Sure, you can edit the automated message by going to `admin > customise > text` and searching for `flags_dispositions`.

The automated message should be coming from @system already I believe?
edit: Just tested and it does not. The staff who handles the flag send the automated message.

If the `site contact username` setting has been configured, system messages will be sent from that username instead of from the `system` user.
