One thing I noticed in the process is that when you create the category you are given the chance to say what topic to use as the index. But I don’t think anyone will have already created an index topic for a category that you are just then creating.
Maybe it would be too complicated, but it would save having to go back in to the settings if you could create an index post at the same time the category is created. It could be a single option to “Create new index topic for this category” and it would create
- a new topic in the category being created
- with the title “Index for category”
- with some text in the body that would explain how to create an index post.
