I am installing Discourse on a 1GB memory server and I have 2GB swap file. I wanted to know if I upgrade the server to 2GB, will Discourse will adjust and use memory instead of the sawp file?
The swap is OS related, without having anything to do with the software installed, and is used only when the available RAM is not enough for the running software.
So having more RAM means that the swap will be hit less than used to be.
After upgrading ram you may revisit the number on shared_db_buffers and maybe unicorn workers.
