기존 게시물을 다른 카테고리로 이동하면 해당 카테고리를 구독 중인 사용자에게 이메일 알림이 전송됩니다. 제 사이트에서 일부 재구성을 진행해야 하는데, 기존 게시물에 대한 알림을 받게 되면 사용자들에게 혼란을 줄 것 같습니다. 게시물을 이동하는 동안 이 알림 기능을 일시적으로 비활성화할 방법이 있을까요?

제가 시도했는데 안 됐어요? 기능을 끄고 주제를 옮겼는데, '첫 게시물 보기’를 설정한 사용자에게 여전히 알림이 갔습니다. 다른 조치도 필요한가요?
**수정:** 제가 실수를 해서 일괄 이동(bulk move)을 하지 않았네요. 다시 시도해 보겠습니다. 🙂
**업데이트:** 일괄 이동을 사용해도 여전히 첫 게시물 보기 알림이 전송되는 것 같습니다? 몇 번 시도해 봤는데 제가 뭘 잘못하고 있는지 모르겠어요?

얼마 전 비슷한 일을 처리해야 해서, 좀 더 직접적인 방법으로 공지사항을 올려서 특정 카테고리의 주제를 다른 카테고리로 옮기거나 옮길 예정임을 알리고, '첫 게시물 보기’를 설정한 사용자들이 스팸처럼 보이는 알림을 몇 개 받을 수 있음을 안내했습니다. 사람들이 카테고리 알림 설정을 변경하거나(또는 인지하고 무시하거나) 할 시간을 주길 바랐습니다. 그렇게 나쁘지 않았지만, 공지를 놓친 몇몇 사람들이 조금 혼란스러워했습니다.
다시 살펴보니 관리자 설정에 대해 더 많이 알게 되었는데, 관리자 설정에서 카테고리 알림 기본값을 ~~일반~~ 음소거(muted)로 설정하면 첫 게시물 보기 알림을 차단할 수 있을 것 같습니다. 하지만 작업이 끝난 후 원래 설정으로 ‘되돌리는’ 방법은 모르겠네요?

저도 마찬가지입니다. 이메일이 트리거될 당시 `create revision on bulk topic moves` 옵션이 비활성화되어 있었습니다.

직접 테스트해 보진 않았지만, `disable category edit notifications` 설정이 유망해 보입니다.
