Multiple Discourse instances using the same S3 bucket

(Yousef Alam) #1

Hey all,

I was wondering if it was possible to use one S3 bucket to store and serve content from multiple Discourse instances, preferably seperated by folders? In the worst case, can we just point the instances at one bucket and hope none of the files clash?

EDIT: The reason for this is that we’ve reached the S3 bucket limit on our account and we’d like to deploy multiple Discourse instances.

Thanks!

AWS S3 subfolder support

Yeah, probably. Though the files should already be namespaced by site, the filenames also contain the sha-hashes of the content, so you’ll be fine.

Could support for S3 folders be added? I think it would make it easier to maintian each site in the future.
