# Multiple forums on a single Discourse instance

I inquired about this [here](https://meta.discourse.org/t/hosting-many-forums-on-a-single-discourse-instance/21556). Not the same thing as multisite, but related.
Synopsis: Support thousands of distinct Discourse forums on a single database (shared tables, not schemas, not namespaces).
Moving this into the feature request category. I am investigating the effort required. Would appreciate any suggestions or feedback.
