# Multiple mails issue

Hi, everyone.
I’m receiving multiple emails even though I’ve adjusted the settings to be notified only when I’m away.
Does anyone has an idea how to change that and stop receiving so many emails?

I assume then you are receiving email updates when you are not away from the forum? because by your settings, if you are away from the forum in question and there is a lot of activity mentioning or involving you, you will receive emails for those, in addition to the weekly summary. Are the emails actual duplicates or for different activites? Also note that the second setting in the screenshot says:
`or when there is new activity in my watched categories, tags or topics`
Check your tracking settings in your user preferences too, specifically what you have watched- [Tracking tab](https://meta.discourse.org/my/preferences/tracking)

Also, if chat is enabled and you have access to it, you’ll need to check the chat tab for its relevant email setting.
