I actually took a stab at it in a TC, and while it works well (enough for a V1), the way the timeline itself works actually causes an issue.
Especially in longer posts, deleted topics cause a mismatch between what the timeline shows and the the actual postID.
As you can see here, the postID is 425 (same as show in URL), but the timeline has filtered out deleted posts and shows we’re at post 405.
The result is that the indiciator for this post with 39 likes (which is following the same structure as the timeline), is not matching the correct position.
When I scroll down to the timeline-postid of 425, it is (more or less) correct, but of course the 39-likes post is out of view.
So, you’d almost have to make the bars themselves clickable, and that a) a whole other thing, and b) as said above, then you have the overlapping bar problem anyway.
For megatopics, the density also gets so high that you can’t realistically target the hot areas, as they are smushed between regular posts. It’s more decorative than anything else at that point
