# Need a tool to auto-insert wiki as first post in topic

**What would you like done?**

Add a button to “topic admin actions” which inserts a wiki post as the first post in the topic, even if there are already existing posts in the topic.

If possible, populate the wiki from one of a few templates; however if this adds much complication or cost, we can edit the newly-created wiki post and paste the template.

Our use case is to summarize long topics. As discussed [here](https://meta.discourse.org/t/summarize-this-topic-write-a-summary-for-this-topic/25460), the Discourse team favors automated approaches to summaries, but we’re willing to manually curate the summaries. We currently insert the summary wiki using [this ugly method](https://meta.discourse.org/t/summarize-this-topic-write-a-summary-for-this-topic/25460/11). It works but is labor-intensive.

No particular timeframe. Next couple months would be great.

No particular budget, open to reasonable proposals.
