Need help installing SSL Cert

(Manthan Mallikarjun) #1

I am using the web_only as my template for the docker install. I am following this tutorial: Allowing SSL / HTTPS for your Discourse Docker setup.

If im not wrong, I should be uploading the files to /var/docker/shared/ssl/. Is that right?

Also, the ssl folder does not exist. How should I create it while keeping the right permissions?

You can creat a folder there. It really doesnt matter i think as long as you update the shared path to shared instead of standalone (the one specified where shared is mounted)

Yes, you should create the ssl folder in /var/docker/shared (not /var/docker/shared/standalone).

(Note: To figure out which of those you need, look for this in your container yml file:)

  - volume:
        host: /var/docker/shared
        guest: /shared

  - volume:
        host: /var/docker/shared/standalone
        guest: /shared
