# Negative penalty count

So basically a user in the gimkit forums has a negative penalty count, I am not sure why, but if you look in the logs I removed a suspension in January while there was a requested suspension 7 months ago back in Sep 2024.

These are the logs of the user. I think the negative penalty is caused by me revoking a suspension. I don’t think discourse counts penalties that happened more than 6 months ago. The forum just got updated to 3.5.0.beta2-dev ([0313eff1fe](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/commits/0313eff1fed9f0c549de277cb8e437458d2a0bfa)) today, but it used to be on a 3.4.0 beta.

Me too I found this issue but I just cleared the penalty count using the button.

You can ask the admin to clear the penalty count.
