# Nested replies appear at the top

I am using nested replies and not sure if its my install but i have them set to oldest first. When i reply to a topic the reply goes to the top and isn’t clear that the users reply has been submitted. Is this the standard behaviour?

Yep, this is expected! On refresh, the post will be in it’s proper location. If we didn’t do this, your new post wouldn’t be visible and it would look like a visual bug.

Wouldn’t it be visually better to do a refresh and go to submitted comment

I don’t think so, no… but noted as a suggestion!
