New post/thread button bar: Foreground color left on default, background color defined

(Phil) #1

If the default foreground color happens to be white, the buttons are white on white.

You’ll have to define foreground and background color or none of both for each element that contains text.

How is this a bug? If the CSS for the foreground color changes, change the CSS for the post buttons as well?

(Phil) #3

no: if for some element a background color is defined, a website should define a foreground color as well.

the CSS for the button foreground color defaults to my system foreground color which happens to be white. (my system has white text on dark gray windows)

the offending css:

#reply-control #wmd-button-bar {
    top: 0px;
    position: absolute;
    border-bottom: 1px solid #d4d4d4;
    background-color: #fff;
    z-index: 100;

this rule should also contain color: #000; or something.

Applies to older design only, not an issue on current minimalist theming friendly design.
