# New User "must read" message

Is there already a “New User” message that a new user sees (and must read) when joining a discourse forum? If so, Let me know how to edit this. I’d like to add some forum-specific text to that.

`discourse_narrative_bot.new_user_narrative.hello.message`

Yes - start a new PM with `@discobot` with this in the message body:

`@discobot start tutorial`

If a user skipped the new user tutorial, no such message will be sent so it’s not a must read one.
