# Newly created topic shown location based on device

Does discourse support such location feature: newly created topic show location of logging device(mobile or personal computer)?User needn’t choose location manually.

AFAIK no. That would be huge security risk. Good news are MaxMind can’t even do that, though.

I’d consider adding this feature as an option to [Discourse Locations](https://meta.discourse.org/t/locations-plugin/69742) plugin if you want to fund it.
