Will this rule be beneficial for other communities? Are there any cons you can think of?
In our community people sometimes contact vets privately to get help for their ill animals. Just trying to understand pros and cons of introducing such a rule. Please advise

I would say the answer is obvious: are you also selling veterinary services, yourself? If not, then there is no problem.

Gotcha, so this is mainly about things that the forum owner’s company sells – if private solicitations intersect, then introduce the rule.
