# Not getting activation email

so basically i’m trying to host my discourse on ubuntu but once it’s done hosting not getting a email to activate it.

i tried but it seems not to help i don’t know how i can use sendgrid for it. is there also a way to bypass the email activation?

If you search “create admin account” you’ll find [Create Admin Account from Console](https://meta.discourse.org/t/create-admin-account-from-console/17274), but obviously, that won’t work for an actual forum.
