so basically i’m trying to host my discourse on ubuntu but once it’s done hosting not getting a email to activate it.

If you search “create admin account” you’ll find Create Admin Account from Console , but obviously, that won’t work for an actual forum. Did you follow Discourse official Standard Installation ?
