# Notification email for all posts on topic to users who even aren't tracking the topic

**Question:** What’s meaning of “user\_posted” on email report page(/admin/email/sent) ?

**and possible bug:** Something is wrong with this specific topic in our discourse instance, lot of users are getting email for all posts. Users who even have not tracked this topic. Any suggestion ?

Are the users Watching the category? Impersonate one, load the topic, and check the notification state.

Could also be due to mailing list mode being enabled.

Marathon was default watched category, so yeah users were automatically watching the category.
