One thing that really bugs me about Discourse, as an admin of a site and wanting to read _everything_ on my forum, when I get a notification because someone replied directly to me, or @-mentioned me, and I click it, it jumps down to the post in question - but there may be unread messages above! It’s then very difficult to find the first unread post, I have to scroll and carefully watch the little dots that indicate unread. There is a “last read” line, but it can be hard to spot, and will disappear if I close and come back. The opposite happens if I search for a topic title, looking to read the latest posts - I instead get sent to the very top, with no easy way to jump to latest unread.
