# Obsolete settings still in Crowdin

In `server.yml` I see `site_settings.min_first_post_typing_time` in Crowdin but it seems to be replaced by `site_settings.fast_typing_threshold`. Should it appear in Crowdin at all?

`min_first_post_typing_time` is currently a hidden site setting, so it doesn’t need a description. But I think there is no harm in keeping the description as long as the setting is still in [settings.yml](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/blob/5012d213e0e8a964b609d62bbd05162c36f61a4c/config/site_settings.yml#L2797)

Do I understand it correctly that the setting has been deprecated but it’s kept hidden for backward compatibility?

I guess when the deprecated setting is removed, they will also remove the description.

While I understand why the description is kept until the setting is removed entirely, I wonder if it’s necessary to [update the description of a setting](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/37765) that is already deprecated. It feels quite useless to spend time on translating a text that is likely to never appear in the interface.
