# Oneboxes failing for videos in google photos

We had a user report “No video with supported format and MIME type found” when posting a oneboxed link to `photos.app.goo.gl` and I see that it’s not just my site; the problem also shows up in the feature announcement here on meta:

Is this google doing something actively to break oneboxing, or is it an unfortunate side effect of something else?
