# Online toggle removes custom status

Continuing the discussion from [Hide presence toggle works in reverse](https://meta.discourse.org/t/hide-presence-toggle-works-in-reverse/335892):

Is it possible to have my custom status? Could it be that having Online as my presence is stopping that?  
If so, when I try clicking ‘Online’ to turn it off, it goes back to Online. I assume this is intended?  
EDIT: I can now turn it to Offline, but I still can’t use a custom status.
