# Only showing the default avatar?

In the app:

`ln -s /var/www/discourse/public/uploads /var/www/discourse/public/forum/uploads`

All avatars work properly now.

It seems like my subdirectory wasn’t being parsed properly by the avatar processor. ([Subfolder with SSL and nginx reverse proxy - #13 by Ironclad14](https://meta.discourse.org/t/subfolder-with-ssl-and-nginx-reverse-proxy/69496/13))
