I’m afraid that’s a very generic message and we’ll need more details to help you out.
Are there any more details in your `/logs` or in the browser console? Does it work in [safe mode](https://meta.discourse.org/t/53504?silent=true)?

The reason may be that the browser was closed during the update process. Finally, use `./launcher rebuild app` to solve the problem.

This is not correct. You can close the browser during the update process and it will still continue.
It is possible that the update was not yet finished. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes and then after a hard refresh the site will come back.
But yes if you can the command line update is always going to work more smoothly, though your site will be offline during the entire update process which can take a little while depending on what all is being updated.
