# OP notifications for assignment changes

In our internal Discourse instance, everyone can make and see assignments.

A topic I created last August was unassigned yesterday (without action).

The topic showed up in the Unread list, but I didn’t get a notification for the change.

I think I should have.

Yeah I do not think we notify on small actions like close/assign etc. We have had some discussion around letting people opt for these notifications, but have not reached a consensus on how to expose this fidelity to end users.
