# Open hamburger menu wording

There is an item “Open hamburger menu” in the list of shortcuts. First of all I am not sure how some people understand it and I don’t want to guess how a meat community would… Anyways in the sidebar days it is not even correct. Maybe it should say “Toggle sidebar” or something? (At least when sidebar is active.)

Generally we refer to both the sidebar and the header dropdown (configurable in admin settings) as the “navigation menu” so I’ve updated this text to reflect that:

Just a note – in case of the sidebar it opens but also closes it (and more often that).

“Navigation menu” is also used in the user preferences (js.user.preferences\_nav.navigation\_menu).

I know. But it’s actually tricky in Czech. The 1:1 translation just doesn’t sound right.

What do you think about this? If it says “opens” when it actually closes it the first time you use it (because sidebar is mostly open).
