Lindsey announced the introduction of tags to [Data Explorer](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-data-explorer-plugin/32566) to help admins organize and locate queries more efficiently. This feature is available on **Business** and **Enterprise** plans. Prebuilt queries now include a `default` tag along with a specific area-of-focus tag (e.g., `traffic`, `content`), while custom queries are tagged `custom` and can have additional user-defined tags. Users can utilize the new filter on the main page to view only queries matching selected tags, streamlining the process of finding relevant reports for community analysis.

We’ve introduced tags to [Data Explorer](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-data-explorer-plugin/32566) to make it easier for admins to find the right prebuilt query and organize custom queries.

> :discourse: [Data Explorer](https://meta.discourse.org/t/32566?silent=true) is available on the **Business** and **Enterprise** plans.

Every prebuilt query that ships with this tool includes both the `default` tag and a tag to indicate its general area of focus (e.g., `traffic`, `content`, etc.). Custom queries are tagged `custom`, and you can add additional tags to them as needed.

![You can add one or more tags to a query to make it easier to find later.](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/9/3/a/93a24b681c22399b4bc2c11d857cdf972f63e240.png)

You can then use the filter on the main page to show queries with the matching tag.

![The tag filter on the Data Explorer page lets you see only queries with the selected tag(s).](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/d/6/a/d6a53e76353253fb221f724e958022e7b5050b2a.png)

We hope this change makes it easier to keep your queries organized and browse our prebuilt queries to find the report that will answer your questions about your community. Let us know what you think!
