I must say, it’s a bold move. This is the first company I worked at with this high level of transparency and honesty. I wish parting ways with Discourse were under different circumstances. I am rooting for Discourse to find a perfect balance leading to prosperity, especially by holding to the high moral standards of open source and privacy (following the ad-free model).
I am leaving with admiration and gratitude. Too bad, I had little time to work with the great engineers of Discourse. As a professional, I did grow beside them. I will definitely stay around, cheering for better Discourse, as it is going to become.
