# Override or change AboutPageUser

I just merged [this commit](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/commit/8adb6649fe48c0d1435f22696cc468b601b4317b) which removes the user profile links from the topic-list, topic page and about page for anonymous users when `hide_user_profiles_from_public` is enabled.

Note that this is purely a UX change. Crawlers see a different version of the HTML. The nofollow directive was added to crawler-view user profile links [back in January](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/commit/e8aa2b8d9a2765ea30521fa5e8a71481689f7480).
