# PAID: Enable voting by email in discourse polls

As discussed in [Voting in polls directly by email](https://meta.discourse.org/t/voting-in-polls-directly-by-email/34014). I am interested in having a custom plugin or official plugin pull request written to provide voting by email functionality.

Currently when you get an email notification containing a poll, you can click through to post on the discourse site to vote. I’d like it to be possible to see the vote in the email and actually select an option to vote. I’d then be taken to the website where i can see the vote has been registered immediately, without authentication/login required.

This means if the email is forwarded (or the URL is copied anywhere), anyone can cast a vote.

I’ve thought about that too. Not sure how to resolve it while still making it as easy as possible to vote, except maybe by finding a way to allow voting by reply email?
