Before installing the plugin, you should move your forum to the **[HTTPS protocol](https://meta.discourse.org/t/13847)**, because PayPal will [discountinue support for Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) through the HTTP protocol](https://devblog.paypal.com/upcoming-security-changes-notice/#ipn) **after June of 2017**.
