# Paragraphs containing inline footnotes use a smaller font on Chrome on Android

The paragraphs which contain footnotes in the topic post, and also for replies which do, _on Android in the app_, are in a smaller font. They are unchanged on Firefox on desktop.

I just added the plugin, so we have footnotes here now. I clicked ‘Rebuild HTML’ on your OP.

Well, for me (app/iPad(Safari) the footnote shows now at actual bottom of this page, below suggested topics.
Paragraphs have same font size, though.

Just checked — works fine on mobile Firefox, but not in the app-with-inbuilt-Chrome or in the Chrome browser.

I’m using Android/Chrome, and the text appears consistent to me? I tried it here, on my site, and on the fedora link; both in my regular browser, in the ‘install the app’, and on Discourse Hub.
Though the inline footnote in the OP does not seem to be expanding for me.

Is it expanding but appearing at the very bottom of the page? (Like, scroll all the way down.) Because that’s what is happening for me.

I changed it to not use inline footnotes on my sites, and that fixed the problem. I kind of prefer that anyway, even though inline is slick. (What I really want is _both_, but that’s another story.)

On Firefox Windows + Sidebar it is rendering in a totally wrong place.
@vinothkannans can you investigate the issue reported and this Firefox issue, maybe our popper library needs updating?

@j.jaffeux has been working on some big changes to the plugin here:

The commit fixed a number of general issues, so I was hoping it might have resolved the text size problem you were seeing - I guess not 😢
I just tried an Android device (Galaxy S21, Android 11.0, latest chrome) on [browserstack.com](http://browserstack.com), and can’t reproduce the problem:

- I can repro on android 9 galaxy s10 (couldn’t repro on newer)
