Vielen Dank für Ihren Vorschlag. Mein Mailbox-Anbieter (Spacemail) unterstützt offiziell nur Port 465 mit SSL für SMTP. Ich habe jedoch im Rahmen der Fehlerbehebung (zusammen mit dem Support) auch Port 587 mit STARTTLS getestet, aber das Timeout-Problem besteht weiterhin.
