# Pin Topic Buttons Inactive?

When trying to pin a topic, the buttons aren’t active - see below:

Note to @zogstrip it might be better to pop a descriptive error here rather than just disabling buttons.

You mean change the text of the disabled buttons to something like “`select a date to pin this topic`”?

No, on click do a red bouncy error like we do in the editor. Bouncing over the missing field..
