# Port (:3001) / subdomain issue

Hi, I deployed discourse on a server with other services running.
Thus, I changed the port in app.yml to :3001 and created a subdomain directing to it.
When I open subdomain.discourse.xx I am redirected to discourse:3001.
I can register, and the verification mail is sent. However, I cannot verify my email because I always deviate to the port, I suppose…
How can I specify that the subdomain is used instead of the port?
I’m using an Ionos Vps. Is is maybe a DNS issue? Can I solve it?
