# Possible to configure shareable hyperlinks w/ different domain

Hi there,
Let’s say I have a flourishing forum at [discourse.example.com](http://discourse.example.com) and I also have a nice shortened domain like [link.io](http://link.io). Is it possible to configure discourse to use the shortened domain for shareable hyperlinks?

Not at the moment, but I feel like if you are going for shortened links under the ⛓ icon you would probably want to go all the way.
`https://meta.discourse.org/t/possible-to-configure-shareable-hyperlinks-w-different-domain/80410?u=sam`
Could be something like:
`https://to.discourse/XyZb3`
So the actual feature you would want is automatic integration of a custom link shortener.

Yeah, now that you mention it, you’re right. A custom link shortener is what I’m asking. Obviously not necessary, but it would be super cool, especially since a lot of the links on subdomains can get rather lengthy.
Because this now smells like a feature request, would you like me to recategorize this topic under #Contribute > Feature?

이 기능을 정말 좋아할 것 같습니다. 특히 다음이 가능하면 더 좋겠어요:
1. 도메인 뒤에 오는 슬러그를 커스터마이즈할 수 있으면 좋겠어요. 예를 들어 `to.example.com/ep1`처럼요. 슬래시를 포함해서 커스터마이즈할 수 있다면(`to.example.com/show/ep1`) 더 완벽하겠죠.
2. 여러 개의 다른 짧은 도메인을 사용할 수 있으면 좋겠어요. 예를 들어 `to.example.com`과 `test.com`이 모두 같은 포럼 페이지를 가리키는 것처럼요.
다만, 이 두 가지가 너무 과한 요구일 수 있다는 점은 알아요. 그냥 자동화된 짧은 URL 생성기(`to.discourse.org/hwu79`)로만 되어도 충분히 감사할 것 같습니다… 하지만 위에서 언급한 두 가지 옵션이 가능하면 정말 좋겠네요 ☺
