# Post Sort Alphabetical

I searched. A lot. Most of the posts I saw were related to Topic-based alphabetical sorting and why that didn’t make sense.

I’m looking to sort a list of posts alphabetically by title _within_ a topic. Our forum is a group of people who regularly attend events out in the community and we have a title format that would be easy to sort by date if an alphabetical sort was available.

Any help would be grand.

Posts have no title. Only topics have.

But if you have builded such then you perhaps should open a bit what you really did.

Okay, I have the terminology wrong. I do want the ability to alphabetize topics. For example, a topic with the title: “[FUTURE] 05/24/24: An Event” should come before “[FUTURE] 05/25/24: A Different Event”. I’ll review the other topics regarding this question, but most of the ones I’ve reviewed do not clarify why this isn’t an option.

Edit: I’ll use the /filter option. It’s a little clunky, but it’ll work!
