# Previously deleted posts?

Checking here and saw the new permanently delete posts option, what about previously deleted posts? For now I did this but what about user requests we had to delete posts and topics from users and they were deleted normally. Are those purged now or just soft deleted?

The new setting doesn’t do anything to previously deleted posts, so those are still soft deleted. Once the setting is enabled the old soft deleted posts can then be permanently deleted through the post’s admin menu.

Whats the easiest way to see and delete all the soft sided deleted posts?

I just deleted, waited a minute and then permanently deleted 5 posts and under staff actions delete posts, the post info is still there to read.
Going back to older posts, I hit permanently delete and get a 500 server error.
