# Private message search terms stay highlighted

After performing a successful search for terms in a private message, the search terms stay highlighted after returning to the forum. This can only be dismissed by performing another search, or refreshing the page.

Yes, I can repro.

Steps:

1. Go to Private Messages `/my/messages`
2. Search for something (I searched “testing the”).
3. Click a result (not necessary)
4. Navigate somewhere else on the site - I clicked the logo then opened a topic.
5. Notice search terms from PM are still highlighted.
6. Click search icon and see that search terms are still there.
