Private Topics Plugin

I’ve pushed a fix (although the warning was harmless). Thank you for reporting.

If you are searching for a keyword using global search the previews from private support threads are visible, although the threads remain inaccessible.

I am unable to reproduce this. Could you please send me a PM with concrete steps on how to reproduce?

:warning: If you add everyone to a private topics category, it will not work as intended. :warning:

There is a big warning in category → security. I guess we need a bigger warning

I would like to ask for a feature:

When answering, users might not be aware that mentions will not notify recipients if they are not part of the groups that can see all topics.

Would it be possible to add the usual warning in this case (User XY will not be notified since he is not able to see the topics)?
In our case, it would also help to show the needed membership to participate, but I think this is not a general expectation.

It already does that? (I just double checked).

Hm. I checked also.
This is, what I did:

  • Create a topic in a category with private topics enabled.
  • Answer yourself. Mention someone, who is not allowed to see.
  • Expected: get a warning, that the mention will not reach out.
  • Current behavior: No warning.

If a warning is issued on your side: what can I do to debug my different observation?

I will send you a PM

Part of the problem:

An other part seems to be a hard-to-test time dependency of the editor when asking for reachable mentions. In its current state, it does not seem to report reliably.
