# Problem with changing password from mail

Hello! I have installed Discourse on a VPS server. When registering an administrator account, I entered the wrong password from the mail. Now there is no confirmation. Can I change my email password without reinstalling Discourse?

I have changed the SMTP details, but the forum details have not changed. What to do to make the data change?

So when you go to `/admin/email` you’re still seeing the old SMTP credentials? I don’t know what “forum details” or “data change” you’re referring to.

Yes. When i go to / admin / email i still see old SMTP credentials.
