Profanity Language Filter features

(Barbie) #1

Continuing the discussion from Inappropriate / Obscenity / Profanity Language Filter:

Was wondering what features this included. I’m a mod and was able to post profanity so I’m not sure how it works.

Does it stop the user from being able to post the word in question?
Does it allow the word and warn?
Does it allow the word, warn and create a flag?
Does it replace the word with something else?

It appears the owner of the site I’m on has already created a post regarding this.

And it does it in the live preview window, so there is a bit of a warning, but subtle.

Are mods exempt as I was able to post profanity as a test? Although it’s possible the list hadn’t been updated on what words to change?

I don’t know if this is a glitch or …

The F word is in a quote and in the preview pane it is showing ■■■■■■ however on the forum it is not blocked out.
