# 移动设备上的头像显示更暗

I feel like this may have been discussed at one point, but couldn’t find it:

**Mobile UI is rendering (at least some) profile images darker than on desktop.**

On the left is the same profile image rendered via Chrome’s Nexus 6 emulation mode, and on the right is the “regular” desktop rendering. _(And yes, it looks just as dark on a real mobile device.)_

I can’t reproduce this on meta, but why would it be happening?

I think I know what this is, an old cached resized image.

Can you try re-uploading your avatar (change one pixel) and see if the issue goes away?

Seems to be Gravatar related … the “same” locally-uploaded image seems to do fine. But then again, I’m using Gravatar here, same photo, but can’t repro the issue. Is there any way to clear the Gravatar cache?

Same exact code runs for resizing avatars and local images, its just that you have an ancient resize that had the bug I linked.

Keep in mind dimensions of images on mobile differ cause of higher DPI.
