Proposal: clicking on @user in a post content should open info box

(lid) #1

currently when you click on a user in a post it redirect to the user profile page.

for example if you click on @lid (it will take you to the user page) but if you click on a user name or avatar in the post header you will get a nice info box which you can decide to go to that user profile.

the good:

  • Allow you to see who is the user without breaking the reading flow. you are not getting redirected to another page.
  • it is nice

the bad:
-didn’t think of one yet

here is how I think it should be:

This feels way to cluttered for me, would have to be a plugin.

@Lid, you’re not the only one who wants to see this though…

Sam the cluttered feel Can probably be eliminated with better design for the info box

Plugin is also an option I soppuse

I’m curious, why do you feel more consistency when clicking a user name, is more clutter?
