# Propose to allow to set a preference for a forum's front page on per-user level

As I understand, some users (especially who are novices or rare visitors) will prefer to see the `Categories` page by default.
Other users (especially who are frequent visitors) will prefer to see the `Latest` page by default.
Some users will prefer to see a particular category page by default.
I think it it important to have such option on per-user level because the `Latest` page is sometimes incomprehensible and strange for new visitors as they are out of context yet and they definitely will prefer to see the total forum structure at a glance.
On the other side, the `Categories` page is inconvenient for the most of the frequent visitors.

I’m still very much interested in this. I have it set to Categories to benefit new users, but I wish I could have it set to Latest for myself.
